About Cycleisland CIC

Up until 2026, The Cycleisland Community Interest Company (CIC #11610015) organised a yearly cycling event on the Isle of Wight, called the IoW Randonnee.

Cycleisland CIC is a Not for Profit Organisation, whose objectives are to:

• Promote community participation in health and recreation and in particular cycling and cycling related activities for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Isle of Wight and its visitors.
• Raise funds for donation to charities and other organisations with charitable purposes which promote and/or benefit the health, recreation (and in particular cycling) and welfare of inhabitants of the Isle of Wight and its visitors.

Funding & Donations

We ran the Randonnee both as a free to enter event, but also as a means of raising money for local charities. Each year, after we have paid off the expenses for putting on the event, we choose charities to gift any surpluses to. Many participants choose to put something in our buckets at the checkpoints, but sometimes this is not convenient - if you'd like to make an online donation, we'd be very grateful, and this will help us keep the event going in its current form as well as benefiting local charities.
